The details in this painting depict the depth of the forest and the light shining through the trees all the way out to the lake. Only when you see “The Walk” in person do you notice the details and how deeply you can see through the trees. There are layers of light and color. This is a large painting that makes a statement when you walk into a space. You can feel this scene. It was inspired by a walk along Lake Michigan on the North Shore.
